Abstract

Questions of sustainability have for long had to address macro level questions of insecurity at the state level. The discourse on intersectionalities of race, caste and gender, within the scope of the interpretation of sustainability, has continued to elude policy initiatives, even when scholarship from around the world has come to recognize the need to include sustainability within the broader purview of human security concerns.
